REGISTERED ORGANISATIONS TRAINING
Compulsory Officer training - governance and financial management training is mandated for Registered Organisations. Registered Organisations (such as unions and employer associations) must ensure their financial management officers receive approved training within six months of commencing office.
Governance Mentors is an accredited trainer under Section 293K of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009.
Governance Mentors is also an accredited trainer under Section 741 of the (Queensland) Industrial Relations Act 2016.
Whilst the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission will accept as valid those trained under the Fair Work (Registered Organisation) Act 2009 approved training package, Queensland state registered organisations are recommended to select the QIRC approved course to benefit most from the differences contained within the state legislation. Organisations that are registered under the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 must attend a Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 approved course.
Our training courses take a full day and participants will be required to attend the full presentation and complete the assessment.
The course fee is $495 for the first participant and for each additional attendee a fee of $385 applies. Organisations will find casual vacancies in their committees often require the training of small groups and our fee structure is designed to assist organisations with these ad hoc committee changes.
A complete training resource is provided to each participant but any venue hire or refreshments should be planned by the organising entity or can be arranged at cost.
Compliance issues - does your organisation have compliance problems? Has the ROC been asking questions? Are your state and federally registered organisations clearly separated in the areas of governance and financial management? If you have any concerns in these areas we can help. Call us for a chat.
